The Monstera Esqueleto is a spectacular Monstera variety distinguished by its large fenestrated leaves with an almost serrated design. Unlike the Monstera Adansonii, its leaves are much larger, thinner, and bright green, giving the plant an airy and delicate appearance. Its name "Esqueleto," meaning "skeleton" in Spanish, refers to its impressive cutouts that make it unique.
Care
-
Light : Bright indirect light, avoid intense direct sun which can burn the leaves.
-
Watering : Keep the substrate slightly moist, but not overwatered. Allow the top few centimeters of soil to dry out between waterings.
-
Temperature and humidity : Enjoys a warm environment between 18 and 26°C as well as high humidity.
-
Substrate : Prefer an aerated and draining mixture.
-
Repotting : Every one to two years, when the plant becomes too cramped in its pot.
-
Staking : Grows as a climber, ideally with a moss-covered stake to encourage aerial rooting.
-
Fertilizer : Feed with a balanced green plant fertilizer every two to four weeks during spring and summer.
-
Toxicity : Plant toxic to animals if ingested.
With its sculptural foliage and vigorous growth, the Monstera Esqueleto is a true gem for tropical plant lovers.
