A cactus as charming as it looks! The Fairy Castle forms multiple branched columnar stems reminiscent of the turrets of a small fairy castle. The variegated version adds an extra magical touch with cream, pale yellow, or whitish sections that contrast beautifully with the usual green of the stems. Care:

• Light: Bright light, ideally with several hours of direct sun per day. Variegated sections may be slightly more prone to sunburn — a gradual transition to full sun is recommended.
• Watering: Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings (typical for cacti). Water generously, then wait until the soil is thoroughly dry before watering again. Significantly reduce watering in winter.
• Humidity: Prefers dry air, typical of a desert environment. No need for additional humidity.
• Temperature: Between 18°C and 27°C (64°F and 80°F). Can tolerate cooler temperatures in winter (dormancy period), but avoid frost.
• Soil: Specific cactus and succulent mix, very well-draining (sand, perlite, potting soil).
• Fertilization: Diluted cactus fertilizer, once or twice during the growing season (spring-summer). Do not fertilize in winter.
• Repotting: Rarely necessary, every 2-3 years, handling with gloves or thick newspaper to avoid spines.
• Special Feature: Variegated sections (less chlorophyll) grow slower than green sections — this is normal and part of the charm of this variety.
• Toxicity: Non-toxic, but spines can cause injury — handle with care, especially around children and pets.
