Light :
Likes bright light, ideally full sun or a very bright location. A sunny window is perfect. -
Watering :
Water sparingly during the growing season (fall-winter). Allow the substrate to dry completely between waterings. Reduce watering significantly when the plant goes dormant (late spring/summer). -
Temperature :
Prefers an environment between 15 and 25°C. Does not tolerate temperatures below 5°C. -
Ground :
Use a well-draining potting soil, such as cactus/succulents. -
Fertilization :
A light application of liquid succulent fertilizer once a month during the growing season. -
Bloom :
May produce fragrant flower spikes in spring. To preserve the leaf spirals, some recommend cutting back the flower stem, as it can cause the foliage to yellow. -
Vegetative rest :
The plant goes dormant after flowering. The foliage may turn yellow and dry out—this is normal! Reduce watering and let the bulb rest until growth resumes.
