Euphorbia trigona | Green

A spectacular sculptural plant that isn't a true cactus, but certainly looks like one! With its fleshy, bright green triangular stems adorned with small spines along the edges, Euphorbia trigona grows in slender vertical columns, creating a striking architectural effect. Easy to care for and fast-growing, it's an ideal plant for adding a modern, graphic look to any interior. 🌿

Care:

• Light: Bright light, ideally with several hours of direct sun per day for robust, compact growth. Lack of light can cause etiolation (stems stretching and weakening).
• Watering: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Significantly reduce watering in winter, during its dormant period.
• Humidity: Prefers dry air, typical of a desert environment. No need for additional humidity.
• Temperature: Between 18°C and 27°C. Avoid frost and cold drafts.
• Soil: Well-draining cactus and succulent mix.
• Fertilization: Diluted cactus fertilizer, once or twice during the growing season (spring-summer). Do not fertilize in winter.
• Repotting: Every 2-3 years, or when the plant becomes unstable in its pot (it can get quite heavy as it ages!).
• Pruning: Can be pruned to control height and encourage branching—be careful of the irritating sap when cutting.
• ⚠️ Important Precaution: The white sap (latex) is toxic and very irritating to skin and eyes. Always wear gloves when handling or pruning, and keep out of reach of children and pets.
