Hoya 'Mathilde' – Wax plant
Hoya 'Mathilde' is a popular collector's item, a cross between Hoya carnosa and Hoya serpens . It is distinguished by its round, dark green and slightly silvery foliage, as well as its spectacular white to pink star-shaped flowers, grouped in umbels. These delicate, waxy flowers give off an enchanting fragrance that fills the space.
Thanks to its trailing shape, Hoya 'Mathilde' is ideal for hanging baskets or placed on shelves, where its supple stems can cascade elegantly. It's an easy-care plant that requires little care but rewards with spectacular blooms.
Care
-
Light: Bright, indirect light. A little gentle sunlight encourages flowering.
-
Watering: Moderate. Allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings.
-
Humidity: Adapts well, but appreciates moderate humidity.
-
Temperature: Ideally between 18 and 26°C.
-
General care: Avoid cutting stems after flowering, as new flowers often appear on old peduncles.
