Native to the Philippines, Hoya meliflua is a tropical vine with thick, glossy, elongated leaves, sometimes slightly ribbed. It is prized for its fragrant umbel-like flowers, whose nectar is abundant and sticky, hence its name meliflua (meaning "flowing with honey").
