Strelitzia | Bird of paradise

The Strelitzia is a majestic houseplant renowned for its large, elegant foliage, reminiscent of a banana plant. Its large, deep green leaves, borne on long, rigid stems, bring a tropical and structural presence to any bright space. Indoors, it is primarily valued for its architectural form, while a well-established plant may eventually flower with time and the right conditions.

Care

• Light : Very bright with direct or filtered sunlight. The higher the light, the more harmoniously the plant develops.

• Watering : Moderate. Water when the surface of the soil is dry. Do not allow water to stagnate at the bottom of the pot.

• Temperature : Ideal between 18 and 30 °C. Avoid temperatures below 12 °C.

• Substrate : Rich, well-draining potting soil for tropical plants.

• Growth : Slow to moderate indoors. Can become large over time.

• General care : Clean the leaves regularly. Natural cracks in the foliage are normal and allow the plant to withstand wind in its natural habitat.
